Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Metanous BV (“Metanous”, “we”) — the company that creates and operates Pagr — collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the Pagr document-generation service.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account data — name, work email and company you provide when you sign up.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used and rendered page volumes, used to operate and improve the service.
- Template and document data — the templates you create and the data you submit to render documents.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information collected through standard server logs.
How we use information
- To provide, secure and maintain the Pagr service.
- To communicate with you about your account, security and product updates.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To analyse and improve performance, reliability and features.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of contract performance (providing the service), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the service), your consent (where requested), and compliance with legal obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this website — pages viewed, general location and device type — so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner; if you decline, or before you make a choice, no analytics cookie is set and no data is sent to Google Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage and cookies for this site, which brings the banner back.
Data collected via Google Analytics is processed by Google under its terms and may be shared with, or used by, Google in aggregated form. We do not use this data for advertising and have not enabled ad personalisation features in Google Analytics.
We separately store your language preference in local storage (not a cookie) so the site opens in the right language on your next visit. This is strictly necessary for a feature you explicitly use, so under the ePrivacy Directive it does not require consent — we mention it here purely for transparency. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings; the site will simply fall back to your browser’s language.
The CAPTCHA on our signup and contact forms (ALTCHA) runs entirely in your browser and does not set cookies or send data to a third party.
If you sign in to the Pagr application, you leave this website for portal.pagr.eu, a separate origin with its own session cookies and privacy practices.
Sharing and sub-processors
We do not sell personal data. We share data with vetted sub-processors that help us run the service (such as cloud hosting and payment providers), under contracts that require appropriate safeguards. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal obligations. Data submitted for rendering is processed transiently and is not retained beyond what is needed to return your document, unless you explicitly enable storage features.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
